### Does it replace Final Draft?

It covers drafting in industry format and exports Fountain, which Final Draft, Highland, WriterDuet and Fade In open. Many writers use ScripTao for everything before and around the pages.

### Who owns my work?

You do. Projects are stored in your browser; export everything as Fountain or JSON at any time.

### Is there AI?

Only if you ask. The optional assistant suggests edits as cards: you choose which parts to apply, and you can revert any of them. It stays off until you agree to send your project to it. Import analysis (scenes, cast, places) uses no AI and runs in your browser.

### Can I adapt a book?

Yes — import a public-domain or rights-cleared text. We split chapters and find recurring characters and places to seed your bible.
